Willpower – Used for astral perception or dual-natured combat

Astral Combat Variables

Weapon – Weapon or unarmed attack you are using

Weapon DV – Damage Value of the weapon (unarmed = ½ Charisma, rounded up)

Weapon Focus Rating – Optional bonus
-
Reach – Your reach + weapon reach vs. defender’s reach

Wound Modifier – Subtract from dice pool if injured

Your Hits – Rolled by you
-
Defender’s Hits – Rolled by defender
-
Modified DV – Weapon DV + net hits
Astral Combat Steps
Step 1: Build Your Pool

Choose the weapon you want to use.

Add the correct Attribute to your dice pool:

Willpower if astrally perceiving or dual-natured
-
Logic if astrally projecting

Add your Astral Combat Skill.

Add Weapon Focus rating if applicable.
-
Add Reach: your reach + weapon reach; compare to defender’s reach.
-
Subtract any Wound Modifiers.
Step 2: Roll the Pool

Roll your dice pool and count hits.

Notify GM if you glitch.
Step 3: Compare to Defender

Defender rolls their defense pool.

Subtract defender’s hits from your hits:

Net Hits ≤ 0 → Combat fails, no damage
-
Net Hits > 0 → Proceed to calculate damage
-
Step 4: Calculate Modified DV
-
Modified DV = Weapon DV + Net Hits
-
Decide type of damage:
- Stun or Physical as appropriate

Report final modified DV to GM; defender attempts to resist
